The postgraduate studies in the Department offer the following educational activities:
The possibility of carrying out research in order to gain a doctorate.
Participation in the Graduate Programme leading to the award of a Masters Degree on 'MBA in 'Businnes Admnistration of Food & Agricultural Enteprises’.
The focus of the MBA is on the Food Business Administration domain as it develops and evolves in modern times.
The food industry is the most important dynamic and extrovert Greek manufacturing sector.
The MBA students develop a deeper understanding of the food business strategy and approach complex business issues in a systematic, theoretical and practical standpoint.
Theoretical framework and critical thinking is the core of the MBA, with emphasis on linking theory and practice.
The MBA in 'Businnes Admnistration of Food & Agricultural Enteprises" is aimed at graduates who want to gain an additional competitive advantage and expertise in the food business labour market wishing to obtain an MBA while continuing to work and to graduates who wish
to turn to entrepreneurship or to change career guidance.
A corresponding Graduate Programme MBA with emphasis on Food Business Administration operated with great success during the academic years 2007-2014, while the provision of possible partial attendance during the academic year 2012-2013 received significant response.
The first part-time students attending the courses offered at the department are expected to graduate at the end of 2015.
During the period 2003-2010, an Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme leading to the award of a Master of Science Degree in "Certification of Quality of Agricultural Products" was operating. This Master programme is no longer active.
