Applications of Rural Regional Development

Subject

Analysis of regional development issues, with emphasis on rural areas and the specific conditions and factors defining their dynamic and growth. The methodology and research tools taught in this course provide the framework for analyzing empirical data concerning production specialisation and entrepreneurship, labour force and skills, and local/regional development.

Educational Aims

Students are provided with conceptual and methodological tools and techniques enabling them to carry out the fieldwork and data analysis required for researching the multiple aspects of regional development.

Student Evaluation

Individual or group assignments consisting of fieldwork, data analysis and report presenting the research results.
